Project description:
The main objective of the project ‘PKO’2025 – VIII Polish Optical Conference’, is to organise a conference dedicated to the Polish optic-photonics community. The event will provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience between scientists, engineers, industry representatives and young researchers.
The conference will cover a wide range of topics related to optical science and technologies, including:
- classical and quantum optics,
- photonics
- optoelectronics,
- functional materials,
- applications of optical technologies in science and industry.
The programme will include plenary lectures, thematic sessions, poster presentations and activities to support the development of young scientists, such as specialised courses and networking sessions.
One of the important results of the project will be the publication of a ‘Dictionary of Optical Terms’ (English-Polish), which aims to facilitate communication within the scientific and industrial community, thus supporting the development of Polish optics and photonics.
